A Wilderness Way have a rare and exciting opportunity to join our team as a Regional HR Advisor. If you’ve got excellent interpersonal communication skills and HR skills, we can offer you a role with a difference. This is no ordinary role. The pace is fast. There’s lots of variety. And you’ll need to be able to build strong relationships with our internal stakeholders and managers across A Wilderness Way.
Our HR Advisor will provide hands on management, working alongside line managers across the business to advise, coach and guide on a broad range of employee relation topics.
This pivotal role will report to a HR Business Partner and support a culture of our colleagues being treated openly and fairly whilst upholding employment legislation and our internal policies.
What your new role will look like
• Proactive case management of issues, such as investigation, disciplinaries, grievances, flexible working, absence, performance, capability and workplace concerns.
• Ensuring that investigations are conducted thoroughly and fairly whilst supporting and coaching line managers on appropriate behaviours and processes.
• Providing advice, guidance and coaching to line managers on issues, and policies and procedures to grow their knowledge, confidence and ownership of people issues.
• Taking ownership of tracking activity against metrics, supporting and advising on trends and themes and putting forward recommendations to proactively address underlying issues.
• Upskilling managers with relevant training, to develop our pool of managers who can support cases at investigation, disciplinary and appeal stages.
• Providing support on any organisation change initiatives including organisational re-design, changes to terms and conditions of employment, development, delivery and training on new policies and procedures.
Candidate profile
• Previous experience of working as a HR generalist or HR Advisor.
• CIPD Level 3/5 or working towards
• Be accustomed to working in a challenging fast paced environment, whilst working on multiple projects simultaneously to specific deadlines.
• An excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
• Good IT skills and usage (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ER analytical data)
• An analytical mind, methodical approach, and keen attention to detail
• The flexibility to travel across our services, based Cumbria and the Northeast
• The ability to put people at ease, gather vital information and maintain confidentiality.

This post will require travel; therefore, a car driver is essential.
